SESSION DESCRIPTION:
Are you thinking about offering an economics book club for your educator audience? Do you want to inspire adult learners with transformative professional development? Learn how to do BOTH in a special NAEE book club focused on The PD Book: 7 Habits That Transform Professional Development. The 30 minute session on March 22nd will introduce attendees to the book and provide an opportunity to hear from co-author Lori Cohen.
The follow up virtual book discussion session on MAY 17th will provide NAEE members with the tools to conduct professional development sessions structured around the book and will inspire members to create better PD for their audience.

PRESENTER:
Megan Kirts
Megan Kirts is the Director of Educator Programs for the University of Arizona Office of Economic Education and for Econiful. She taught high school social studies in Tucson, Arizona for seventeen years and continues to serve as a reader for AP Macroeconomics. She earned master’s degrees in Teaching and Teacher Education from the University of Arizona and in Economics and Entrepreneurship for Educators from the University of Delaware.
Chandler Jordan
Chandler Jordan is the Program Director for the South Carolina Council for Economic Education (dba SC Economics). Chandler has a Bachelor’s degree from USC Upstate in Political Science and a Master’s degree from Converse College in Secondary Education. Chandler spent multiple years in the classroom as a Government, Economics, and AP Macroeconomics teacher before transitioning to full time with SC Economics in 2018. Chandler is an AP Reader for Macroeconomics, a member of the National Economic Educators Association, on the South Carolina Financial Literacy Board of Trustees, and a member of the Junior League of Columbia. In her free time, Chandler enjoys traveling, supporting the South Carolina Gamecocks, and spending time with family. Chandler lives in Columbia, SC with her husband, Keach, a Certified Public Accountant with Sheehan, Hancock and Godwin, LLP, and their pug, Kirby.
